Folk Vibes Inter-School Folk Dance Competition 2024

Music and dance serve to be the best form of human expression, offering a glimpse into the inner development and emotional state of the performer during their presentation. Ann Mary School enthusiastically took part in the Inter-School Folk Dance Competition titled “Folk Vibes,” hosted by Kasiga School on Monday, April 29th, 2024. A multitude of reputable schools from Dehradun, including DIS Riverside School, Welham Girls, Mussorrie International School, and St. Judes, among others, witnessed girls showcasing their talent at this event.

The competition displayed an exceptional level of dancing skills from all the participants. Judged by renowned classical dancers of Dehradun, Mrs. Priya Sharma, Ms. Vishisha Aggarwal, and Ms. Anupama Bhadri, selecting the best among the fourteen participating schools was a challenging task.
Several girls from the Middle and Senior sections of Ann Mary School performed a folk dance from the state of Chhattisgarh, portraying the vibrant energy and traditional wedding rituals of the region. Our girls were honored as the 2nd runners-up by the esteemed panel of judges. Their achievement is symbolized by the prestigious trophy proudly displayed in the school office for all to admire.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participating girls and express gratitude to the dance teachers, Mrs. Priya Suri and Mrs. Richa Naudiyal, for their exceptional training.
Anticipating more triumphs in the year ahead!
