Children’s Day Celebration at Ann Mary School

On 14th November, the campus of Ann Mary School came alive with excitement as the entire school celebrated Children’s Day, marking the birth anniversary of India’s
first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and fun activities for students of all classes.

The celebrations began with the daily assembly, but with a special twist, it was conducted by the teachers, adding a unique charm to the occasion. A major highlight of the assembly was a delightful skit and a mash up of songs performed by the teachers, which had everyone’s clapping and cheering. After the assembly, students from classes 6 and 7 participated in fun races, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The competition brought excitement as students raced with energy and enthusiasm.

The children from classes 3, 4, and 5 first enjoyed the animated movie The Land Before Time, which took them on a delightful adventure. Following the movie, they
participated in an exhilarating Zumba session, where they danced to lively music, and had a fantastic time. Meanwhile, the children from classes 1 and 2 were treated to a mesmerizing magic show, leaving them amazed and full of wonder. In addition to this show, these children also enjoyed a fun-filled fruit salad making activity, where they creatively mixed different fruits to make delicious, healthy treats.

The Pre-Primary children also had their own magical experience, as they enjoyed their own exclusive magic show that captivated their attention and sparked their imaginations.

The day also witnessed some thrilling sports action as the senior girls battled it out in the finals of the Inter-House Cricket Tournament. In an exciting finish, Indian House emerged victorious over Atlantic House by a narrow margin, securing the win in an intense and hard-fought match. As an icing on the cake, the students were motivated by the visit of our star alumna, Deepti Kaira, who recently qualified the Uttarakhand Subordinate Civil Services Exam with 18th rank and is appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police. Deepti interacted with the children of class 9, sharing her inspiring journey and encouraging them to follow their dreams and work hard to achieve their goals.

The fun-filled day came to an end with memories that will stay in the hearts of the children forever. A big thanks goes to the school management and all the teachers
for their efforts in making this day so special for the students. It was truly a celebration of joy, creativity, and the spirit of childhood.
