On August 30th, 2024, Ann Mary School hosted an informative and interactive session on menstrual hygiene and nutrition for its students. The session, led by Dr. Satwinder Kaur, EMO, and Dr. Harshita Joshi, RMO from Uttranchal Medical College of Medical and Research, Dehradun, provided valuable insights into crucial aspects of health and well-being.
Dr. Kaur and Dr. Joshi’s presentation focused on practical guidance for managing menstrual hygiene and understanding the importance of nutrition during menstruation. They shared expert advice on maintaining proper hygiene practices, recognizing common menstrual issues, and adopting a balanced diet to promote overall health. Their engaging session emphasized not just the physical aspects of menstrual health but also encouraged open conversations about mental and emotional well-being.
The event included a dynamic question-and-answer round, where students had the opportunity to ask their queries and receive personalized responses from the doctors. This interactive segment allowed the girls to better understand their health concerns, leading to an empowering and supportive environment.
Ann Mary School would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the management director, Ms. Ankita Joshi, for providing this valuable opportunity to the students. Her support in organizing such initiatives ensures that the school continues to provide its students with vital knowledge for their personal growth.
The school is grateful to Dr. Kaur and Dr. Joshi for their expertise and dedication to this essential cause and looks forward to more such enriching collaborations in the future.
