Ann Mary students are closely associated with mastering this skill at an early age. The school was represented by our ace debaters namely Mansi Khanduri from class- XI, Soham Chhabra from class- XII and Gauri Nawani from class- XII at the prestigious ALL INDIA SHRI NAVEEN AGARWAL JI MEMORIAL INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE competition 2024-25 held at Unison World School Dehradun on the Friday, 26th and Saturday, 27th July.

The topic for the preliminary round was “This house believes that the existing cyber security measures are sufficient to combat the growing threat of digital frauds”. The topic for the semi-final round was “Trolling adds the elements of fun and entertainment to online interactions”. Our team of orators emerged victorious in both rounds competing with the well-known and reputed schools in town. The proud winners marched into the gates of Unison World School to compete with their worthy opponents on Saturday 27th July 2024. The competition was extremely tough between the opponents of the four schools namely Oasis, St George’s, and DIS School.

The topic on fire for the final round held on Saturday 27th July “The idea of one nation, one examination is a fallacy”. Our team of debaters put forward their views in a convincing and thought-provoking manner. They made an indelible mark on the audience and as well as the jury members. Their efforts won them thunderous applause by one and all present at the event. At the end of the day, Gauri Nawani was judged the best speaker in the semi-final round while Soham Chhabra was adjudged the second overall best speaker.
