Ann Mary School Hosts “Police Ki Pathshala” Workshop on Drug Awareness and Cyber Laws

In a collaborative effort with Amar Ujala, Ann Mary School organized an informative workshop titled “Police Ki Pathshala” aimed at educating students about drug abuse and cyber laws. The event took place on featured key speakers from the local police department.

Shri Pramod Kumar, Superintendent of Police (City), Dehradun led the session alongside his dedicated team members, Sub Inspector Ms. Prerna Chaudhary from the Anti-Narcotics Department and Sub Inspector Ms. Nirmal Bhatt from the Cyber Cell. Their engaging talk with the children focused on the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of understanding cyber laws, providing students with crucial information to navigate these critical issues.

Senior Journalist Shri Rudraesh Arya from Amar Ujala was also in attendance, emphasizing the role of media in raising awareness among youth. The school’s Director, Ms. Ankita Joshi, expressed her gratitude by presenting bouquets and mementoes to SP(City) Mr Kumar and Mr. Arya.

In his address, SP Sh Kumar encouraged the children to view the police as their friends, reassuring them that help is always available whenever they need it. He emphasized the importance of building trust between the community and law enforcement.

Ms. Chaudhary highlighted the alarming trends related to drug abuse, urging students to make informed choices. Meanwhile, Ms. Bhatt provided insights into cyber crimes, equipping students with knowledge to protect themselves in the digital age.

This workshop not only aimed to educate students but also to create a strong support system within the community, promoting awareness and proactive engagement.
