Ann Mary School Shines in First Round of Frank Anthony Memorial All India Debate Competition

Ann Mary School has produced debaters par excellence in the years gone by!!

This year too, the first round of the prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial All India Debate competition, organized by CISCE was held on Monday, 15th of July 2024 at St. Joseph’s Academy.

Category – I was open for students of classes XI & XII.

Mansi Khanduri and Soham Chhabra of class XII represented this category from Ann Mary School. The topic on fire for the debate was – “Search for new world spells doom for the world we live in.”

Mansi Khanduri spoke for the topic while her counterpart Soham Chhabra spoke against the topic.

The worthy speakers portrayed a deep sense of their oratory skills weaving many thoughts to convince the august gathering.

Their efforts not only won them thunderous applause but also led them to emerge victorious in the first round, among a group of seven reputed schools of Dehradun. Their presentation and mannerism to put their thoughts across were deeply appreciated by the jury members and the audience as they won the first round.

Congratulations to both of you Mansi and Soham.

We are eagerly waiting for the second round to be held sometime in August.

The result tally at the end of Round-1 stood as follows:

Best Speaker : Soham Chhabra

First Runner Up Speaker : Mansi Khandurie

Best Team: Ann Mary School at the Preliminary Stage

Good luck for round two to both of you. We are extremely proud of you.
