Ann Mary School, Dehradun, successfully hosted the CISCE Zonal Chess Trials 2026 (Zone B) for the Boys’ Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 65 players representing 11 schools across the zone. After keenly contested matches, a total of 15 players, five from each age category, qualified for the CISCE Regional Chess Championship.
The schools securing regional selections are:
- Ann Mary School – 6 students
- Shishya Public School – 4 students
- The Green Public School – 3 students
- Shri Ram Centennial School – 1 student
- Graphic Era Global School – 1 student
The tournament was declared open by the Principal, Mrs. Pallavi Gupta, who welcomed the participating schools and wished all the players success while encouraging them to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.
The event was efficiently conducted under the supervision of Chief Arbiter Anurag Singh and his team, who ensured the smooth and fair conduct of all the matches in accordance with FIDE rules.
