The ill effects of the war were brought to the fore front by the horrific bombing of the twin cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 9th of August respectively in the year 1945. This incident shook humanity to its core, where hundreds of innocent people lost their lives.
To sensitize the generation next regarding the negatives of war and violence, Ann Mary School each year, observes Peace Days wherein, young boys and girls present activities promoting and propagating peace in the form of song, dance, skit, elocution , discussions etc as per their age and class . The little ones from UKG class, like each year, let off peace balloons into the deep blue sky on Friday 9th of August 2024 to commemorate the ill fated incident and to pray for, world peace and harmony. The sky resonated with white gas balloons far and wide spreading the universal message of brotherhood and peace amongst human race !!!!
