Cultural Week 2025 – Day 3 English Debate Competition (Senior School)

The Senior School English Debate Competition, held on 15th October as part of Cultural Week 2025, was a remarkable showcase of eloquence, confidence, and intellectual vigour. Students impressed the audience with their thoughtful arguments and articulate delivery on engaging and contemporary topics.


The event was judged by Mrs. Kirti Thapa, Senior Coordinator, Doon Presidency School, and distinguished educationist Ms. Shilpa Pande, who praised the participants for their clarity, poise, and logical reasoning. The session was chaired by Mansi Khandurie, Ace Debator of the School skilfully.


Organized by the English Department, the event reflected their dedication for developing articulate, analytical, and confident communicators. Principal Mrs. Pallavi Gupta awarded the winners and commended the students for their spirited participation.

• Most Promising Speaker: Kavya Joshi (Pacific House)
• Second Runners-up (Tie): Akshita Patro (Arctic House) and Pranjal Singh (Indian House)

• Best Speaker: Vrinda Sethi (Atlantic House)
• Most Promising Speaker: Asmita Gambhir (Arctic House)
• Second Runner-up: Azizah Zafar (Indian House)
