Cultural Week 2025 – Day 5 Middle School Creative Competitions

Day 5 of Cultural Week 2025 at Ann Mary School brimmed with creativity, colour, and rhythm as middle school students showcased their artistic and performing talents in Rangoli, Softboard, Music, and Dance competitions.

The day began with the Rangoli and Softboard Competitions, where imagination and teamwork took centre stage. The theme for Rangoli, “Colours of Life,” inspired vibrant patterns reflecting joy, unity, and hope, while the Softboard Competition on the theme “Our School, Our Pride – 40 Years Strong” saw stunning displays celebrating Ann Mary’s legacy and achievements. Indian House emerged victorious in the Rangoli competition, while Arctic House claimed the top spot in the Softboard event. The competitions were judged by Chairperson Mrs. Anuradha Joshi, Director Ms. Ankita Joshi, and Principal Mrs. Pallavi Gupta.

The spirit of music then filled the air as students participated in the Music Competition, which featured two categories — Duo Singing on the theme “Positivity” and Group Singing on “Motivational Songs.” Each performance was marked by harmony, passion, and soulful expression. Arctic House secured first place in Duo Singing, while Atlantic House triumphed in Group Singing. The event was judged by Mrs. Ketki Kathpalia and Mrs. Chetna Chauhan.

The energy reached its peak with the Dance Competition, which celebrated both modern and traditional styles. Students captivated the audience with their flair and coordination in Duo performances based on Western Dance Forms and Group performances on Folk Dances of India. Indian House dominated both categories with their dynamic and graceful routines. The judges were Mrs. Sonal Verma, a renowned dance guru, and Ms. Ritika Gulati, an alumna and accomplished Kathak dancer.

The event concluded with the Chairperson presenting shining trophies to the winners. Director Ms. Ankita Joshi addressed the gathering, praising the participants and remarking that “Ann Mary is truly a powerhouse of talent across diverse categories.” Principal Mrs. Pallavi Gupta proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of all who contributed to the day’s success. The middle school students and staff members, along with Coordinator Mrs. Rita Pandey, were present at the event and efficiently organised the day’s competitions.

At the end of Day 5, Indian House continued to lead the overall scoreboard, followed by Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Houses. As the week-long celebration nears its finale, excitement builds to see which house will lift the coveted Cultural Week Trophy.
